How might Educational Leaders use blogging...

I think that educational leaders use blogs mainly for sharing information about the accomplishments of their schools. It would be ideally used as a quick tool for the administrator to get information to those following the blog and allowing for comments or ideas after informations is posted. I personally believe this is a great idea for professionals to share ideas.

Action Research

I think one of the biggest things that administrators can get out of action research is the ability to problem solve issues that are relevant to them or their schools. Probably one of the biggest things that I have learned from this is that action research is something that many of us do on a daily basis, and probably didn't know that either we were doing it, or that it was one of the best ways to solve problems that are specific to our local community and culture.

As an administrator, we should routinely practice taking a look at our school and breaking it down into detailed pieces. After viewing these pieces we need to choose what action to take based upon our findings. If we desire to be the leaders of our campuses, it is imperative that we demonstrate that we are life learners and lead the move to always seek more information to improve our profession. The opportunity to learn, understand and improve can bring about positive change that is effective for all involved on a campus.

Action research method is a very beneficial problem solving research plan that provides administrators with opportunities to grow professionally. In order to use the methods that we acquired during our action research plan, we would reflect and apply these ideas that best fit our needs. Addressing these needs can not be met unless we have data and we provide critical thinking skills to present new outcomes and solutions based upon the data. After all, the leader is in his position to problem solve and provide solutions and they must be very good at action research.
